All forms of exercise that get your heart rate up high enough can help you improve your fitness. At Naardic, we are especially fond of intervals as a time-efficient way to train. In addition to classic 4×4 intervals you can do on a treadmill, bike, or rowing machine, we have a large selection of classes you can do in your living room, but that have a good effect on your fitness.

At Naardic, we love to run, even though we also have many other options for cardio. Our trainers Eline Oma, Rune Solheim, and several others have interval sessions you can follow along with from a treadmill, exercise bike, or rowing machine. Or why not take your phone out for a run and do the session there?
The “classic” 4×4 intervals were developed by Norwegian skiers and are considered the gold standard. Our friends at Mia Health have done a lot of research on it, you can read about it here. You can vary the length of the intervals, the point is to get your heart rate so high that you can barely manage to hold out.
